Are you interested in pure Portland cement for dental use?

You may have heard of the possibilites to use pure, specially selected portland cement as amputation material in milk tooth endodontics.
Portland cement (MTA Mineral trioxyd aggregates) is an excellent substitute for formaldehyd or cresol-containing cement.
Pure Portland cement does not contain Bismutoxyd (radio opaque substance) and has therefore the same radioopacity as dentin and a much better colour stability. As a result pure portland cement can also be used in optically sensible places.
